The Rotary Club of Ntinda has awarded a Vocational Service Award to Dr. Sam Okware Club Health, the health services commissioner in the Ministry of Health.
Rotary president Deus Rutazaana said Okware had improved the quality of life in Uganda Club Health.
Okware pioneered HIV/AIDS control in the 1980s and was instrumental Club Health in curbing the outbreak of Ebola in northern Uganda.
Rutazaana said Okware had also helped contain the Marburg fever that recently hit Kasese district in western Uganda Club Health.
